Our Standard
Every casino recommended on StakeOntario.net must meet a minimum standard before we consider featuring it: an active, verified licence from iGaming Ontario (iGO). No iGO licence means no recommendation, regardless of bonus size or affiliate commission offered.
We do not accept payment to feature casinos or to improve their ranking position. Commissions are earned only when users choose to sign up — they have no influence on our scores or editorial content.
Our Four Review Criteria
1. Licence Verification
We confirm each casino's registration on the official iGO operator registry before publishing any recommendation. We re-verify quarterly.
2. Payout Speed
We assess withdrawal processing times based on available data and user reports. We flag casinos with repeated complaints about delayed payouts.
3. Game Selection
We evaluate the number and variety of games, the quality of software providers, and whether RTP (return to player) information is clearly available to players.
4. Bonus Transparency
We read the full terms and conditions of welcome bonuses — wagering requirements, eligible games, time limits, and maximum cashout caps — and report them accurately.
How We Score Casinos
Our editor score (out of 10) reflects an overall assessment across the four criteria above, weighted for what matters most to Ontario players. Scores are not purchased or negotiated with operators.
- 9.0–10.0 — Excellent across all criteria. Recommended without reservation.
- 8.0–8.9 — Strong overall with minor limitations. Good choice for most players.
- Below 8.0 — Not featured on this site.
Update Policy
We review our recommendations at minimum every 90 days. Bonus amounts, terms, and casino features change frequently — we update them as soon as we become aware of changes. The "last updated" date on the homepage reflects the most recent content review.
